I know only a little about my 8th great grandmother Unica Fewster (1665-1762).
Unica, daughter of Mr Thomas and Unica Fewster, was baptised on 30 November 1665 in Easingwold, a market town in North Yorkshire, England.
She was also known as Eunice.
Eunice Fewster married James Appleton on 25 April 1698 in Easingwold.
They had at least two children:
Eunice 1700–1772
James 1702–1768
James Appleton died in 1704 and was buried on 8 April 1704 at St. Mary Magdalene’s church, Yarm, Yorkshire.
Eunice Appleton re-married, to Anthony Harrison of Kirklevington on 28 February 1705 in Yarm.
They had at least two children:
Anthony (1707-1791)
James mentioned in his father’s will
Anthony Harrison senior died in 1714, leaving a will. In this he mentioned his son Anthony, wife Eunice, son James, father James, and his brother Richard Harrison.
In 1722 Anthony Harrison, aged about fifteen, son of the widow Eunice Harrison, was apprenticed to an apothecary in Yarm.
Eunice Harrison died in 1762 and was buried on 12 September 1762 at St Mary Magdalene’s Church, Yarm on Tees. She is buried with the family of her son James Appleton. The gravestone mentions:
Elizabeth Appleton died 1760
Eunice Appleton daughter of Elizabeth Appleton died 19 May 1736
James Appleton husband of Elizabeth Appleton, died 20 November 1768
Eunice Harrison, widow of Anthony Harrison, died 10 September 1762
James Appleton, son of Elizabeth Appleton, died at Jamaica 18 June 1768

I'm not sure how I missed this Anne. My mother's name is Eunice. It's not a name you see all that often. I've never come across the name Unica.
